Minimal Winter Prep: If your pond doesn't freeze during the winter, you can leave the fountain in place! If your pond does freeze, just pull the pump out, dry it off and stick it in the garage until the thaw. Or leave it in place in a pond where only the top layer ices over, and use it to create an unfrozen air hole area for your fish.

Each pond is different, for ponds 1 acre or larger RPS recommends just starting with one fountain aerator and then wait a bit to see if your specific pond requires a second kit. 80% of the time, you won't need a second kit!
