YOUR PUMP IS STAINLESS - THE WELL SEAL SHOULD BE TOO

RPS engineers wanted to improve on the typical cast iron or plastic well seal, we listened to our customers' feedback and recognized the need for a well seal that lasts for the life of the well. So the stainless steel well seal was born! Unlike other well seals that rust within 10-20 years and can cause damage to your well system. You won't have to worry about the costly and dangerous process of removing part of your well casing just to replace a rusted-out seal. Made of high quality 304 stainless steel.  Absolutely no UV degradation, compare to PVC.  High weight load capacity - perfect for hanging submersible pumps in deep wells.

Available with 1" for 1 1/4" Stainless Barbed insert down hole for Poly Pipe Connections. Plumbing through well seal is 1.25". Threaded Tee / Elbow outlet is 1.25". Easy to neck down or bump up to larger diameters for above ground piping.

Includes..
Stainless Well Seal
Stainless Threaded Coupler
Stainless Threaded Tee or Elbow
Stainless Coupler (or reducer for 1" barb selection)
Stainless Hex Plug 1.25"
Stainless Hose Clamps

Note on Varying Well Casing Sizes

Depending on the material of lining used, varying pipe sizes and the age of the well our engineers have observed that all 6" wells sometimes do not all have the exact same measurements. This holds true for 4", 5" and 8" wells too. A 2-year-old 6" well in Indiana may not have the exact same measurements as a 6" 65-year-old well in Texas. Not to worry! The black gasket around the bottom of RPS stainless steel well seals will swell with exposure to water to help seal off slight inconsistencies in measurements. In rare cases, you can also add some foam tape around the gasket for a more exact fit on wells with "unique" measurements. And as long as the lip of the well seal is sitting over the well casing, you well pump will be safely supported.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Well caps are used for wells that utilize a pitless adapter buried below the frost line to prevent water lines from freezing. If you know that your well has a pitless adapter, or you are getting a new well drilled in a cold climate, you will most likely need a well cap.

  • Well seals are used in warmer climates where freezing water lines are less likely to be an issue. Well seals slide over the top of the well casing and utilize a rubber gasket to seal into place. If your well does not use a pitless adapter, and frozen water lines are not a concern, a well seal is a good choice for you!
  • Many opt for cheaper well seals made of PVC or cast iron, but there are downsides to these options.

  • While PVC and ABS are cost effective, exposed PVC and ABS well seals are less durable, and prone to failure from UV degradation when exposed to the sun for long periods of time.

  • Cast iron well seals can last for years, but are also likely to experience corrosion, which can make it difficult to access your well pump for repair or replacement.

  • With a stainless steel well pump, you can be confident that your well will remain sealed and sanitary, with no concerns of UV degradation or corrosion.
  • Residential wells commonly have 4”, 5”, and 6” casings.  Older wells or agricultural wells tend to use larger casings, with 8”, 10”, and 12” (or bigger diameters) casings, depending on the amount of water needed for pumping.

  • Our engineers have observed that wells sometimes do not all have the exact same measurements, as dimensions can vary depending on the lining material used, varying pipe sizes, and the age of the well. Not to worry! The black gasket around the bottom of RPS stainless steel well seals swells with exposure to water to help seal off slight inconsistencies in measurements.

  • In rare cases, you can also add some foam tape around the gasket for a more exact fit on wells with "unique" measurements. As long as the lip of the well seal is sitting over the well casing, your well pump will be safely supported.

Our Pledges to You

  1. Be a company our Grandfathers would have trusted. The trend of ‘outsourcing’ customer support after the sale is a trend we wholeheartedly oppose. We are an American, family run company and our USA engineers support you before and after the sale.

  2. No sales pressure. Ever. Nobody in the company is paid on commission. We think this is important. Their role is to make sure they find the right pump for you and your well. If we don’t have a livestock solar pump that will suit your needs, we will help you find a solution elsewhere. Our job is to help get you water.

  3. Reliable Water. All manufactured products have occasional issues and we can’t claim to be perfect. However, we are proud of a near perfect track record in getting our customers water. This starts with selling a pump sized for your usage with our Water Assurance Plan and promptly addressing warranty issues to get you up and pumping again quickly.

  4. Give you the power! When you control your ability to pump water out of the ground, whether that is in the field or at home, it makes you more resilient and independent. We are here to help educate you about solar water pumping for livestock and our systems over the phone, with our manual - so you can install yourself. Take control of your water supply today.

  5. Fight for the American rancher. RPS is a David & Goliath story of a small American company fighting against a big European pump corporation that cares more about profits then the longevity of their pumps and the sky-high price for ranchers. Thanks to all our customers for the support of small business vs. foreign corporations trying to profit off some of the hardest working people in our great nation.
